A good mystery to keep you guessing right to the end. Plus some interesting sideroads as well. And some light humor to top it off.
I enjoyed both books in this series, and will look forward to the third. Hopefully, a proofreader or an editor will realize that the over-used phrase "you know", is very annoying.
This may well be my favorite cozy mystery series! Felicity is sharp and doesn’t go out of her way to put herself into danger and works cooperatively with the police. But there’s the right amount of drama, likely suspects, and a real mystery to resolve. I always know when I start one of Susan Harper’s mysteries that I am going to finish it that day!
Great read with wonderful characters. Keeps the reader engrossed in the story so you don't want to stop reading. Interesting setting with a small town going through growing pains. Made you want to continue reading the series.
Engrossing read! For party planners Jefferson and Felicity it was a chance to further prove how great they are when murder intrudes. This is personal since the victim is a girl Felicity knew as a child when she dated her brother Jack. Great characters, plot and a surprise ending. I didn't want to put it down. Can't wait for more in this series.
The writing seemed slow and amateurish. I am not a book critic but I know what I like. The conversations between characters did not seem to really flow. I read a few chapters then stopped.
Felicity and Jefferson run a planning party business. They are invited to an open house of some new apartments being built close by their store. Before you know it, someone is pushed off the roof and Felicity has to investigate with Jackson and Jack the policeman who is also an excellent-boyfriend. The story is well written and it kept me interested. I did' fugured out who the murderer was until the end. A very good cozy mystery. I can't wait to read more books in this series. It was very good. I recommend it.
